Pa­grin­di­niai šių žai­dy­nių tiks­lai – iš­aiš­kin­ti pa­jė­giau­sias ko­man­das ir pa­vie­nius as­me­nis tarp Ro­ta­ry klu­bų ir jų na­rių at­ski­ro­se spor­to ša­ko­se, ma­lo­niai ir pra­smin­gai drau­ge pra­leis­ti lai­ką, ben­dro­mis jė­go­mis pa­rem­ti Lie­tu­vos ne­įga­lių­jų kul­ki­nio šau­dy­mo čem­pio­nę, kan­di­da­tę į To­ki­jo pa­ro­lim­pi­nes žai­dy­nes 2020 me­tais Rai­me­dą Bu­čins­ky­tę.

Įkvėp­ti ir pa­drą­sin­ti vi­sų Ro­ta­ria­do­je at­vy­ko Sei­mo na­rė, šach­ma­tų did­meist­rė Vik­to­ri­ja Čmi­ly­tė-Niel­sen, ku­ri yra 2000 ir 2004 me­tų šach­ma­tų olim­pia­dos auk­so, 2006 me­tų pa­sau­lio mo­te­rų čem­pio­na­to bron­zos me­da­lių lai­mė­to­ja, 2011 me­tų Eu­ro­pos mo­te­rų šach­ma­tų čem­pio­nė. Chai­mo Fren­ke­lio vi­lo­je šach­ma­tų did­meist­rė su­ren­gė si­mul­ta­ną su Ro­ta­ria­dos da­ly­viais.

Ke­tu­rio­li­ko­je spor­to ša­kų vy­ku­sio­se var­žy­bo­se iš tie­sų ne­trū­ko spor­ti­nio azar­to, įtam­pos, nes jo­se da­ly­va­vo net 52 Ro­ta­ry klu­bų na­riai, sve­čiai iš Uk­rai­nos, Len­ki­jos, Ru­si­jos. Per­nai Aly­taus ro­ta­rie­čiai ten­ki­no­si kuk­lia sep­ty­nio­lik­ta vie­ta, o šie­met Aly­taus var­das skam­bė­jo kur kas daž­niau – su­rin­kę 53 taš­kus, aly­tiš­kiai už­ėmė aukš­tą šeš­tą vie­tą. Nuo penk­tą vie­tą už­ėmu­sio Kau­no Han­za Ro­ta­ry klu­bo at­si­lik­ta vos 0,75 taš­ko.

Ko­man­di­nė­se var­žy­bo­se be­ne la­biau­siai džiu­gi­no gat­vės krep­ši­nio rung­ty­je iš­ko­vo­ta an­tra vie­ta – Ma­rius Ja­sai­tis, Kęs­tu­tis Jas­mon­tas, Sau­lius Ivoš­ka ir Re­mi­gi­jus Vi­čiu­lis. Be­je, Ma­rius, Sau­lius, Re­mi­gi­jus ir Dai­nius Juo­zai­tis iš­va­ka­rė­se bou­lin­go (med­ta­kio kėg­lių) var­žy­bo­se pel­nė šeš­tą  vie­tą.

Lau­ko te­ni­so vy­rų dve­je­tų var­žy­bo­se ne­nu­ga­li­mi pa­si­ro­dė Gin­ta­ras Kruč­kaus­kas ir An­ta­nas Kru­tu­lis, as­me­ni­nė­se var­žy­bo­se Gin­ta­ras ta­po nu­ga­lė­to­ju, An­ta­nas iš­ko­vo­jo šeš­tą vie­tą. Mo­te­rų lau­ko te­ni­so var­žy­bo­se aly­tiš­kei Tat­ja­nai Krav­čen­ko ati­te­ko ket­vir­ta vie­ta.

Ro­ta­ria­da – spor­to, ben­dra­vi­mo ir ge­ros nuo­tai­kos Ro­ta­ry šei­mos ren­gi­nys, vyks­tan­tis nuo 2002 me­tų. Sek­ma­die­nį ro­ta­rie­čiai iš­si­skirs­tė pra­dė­ję lauk­ti 2019 me­tų Ro­ta­ria­dos, ku­ri tu­rė­tų vyk­ti Klai­pė­do­je.
