Šeštadienį 12 val. Druskininkų Pramogų aikštėje susirinkę smulkieji sūrininkai iš Lietuvos, Latvijos ir Lenkijos kvies visus sūrio mylėtojus bendrai šimtmečio nuotraukai, po kurios prasidės penktasis „Sūrių Festivalis“.

Festivalio programoje numatytas dar vienas svarbus vaidmuo lankytojams – išrinkti mėgstamiausią publikos sūrį. Paragavęs visų sūrių konkurse dalyvaujančių sūrių, kiekvienas galės atiduoti balsą už jam labiausiai patikusį. 15 val. bus apdovanotas šio sūrio autorius bei sūrininkai, pagaminę geriausius avių, ožkų, karvių, kietuosius, pelėsinius, šviežius ir kitokius sūrius.

Renginio metu vyks keturios profesionalios degustacijos. Paulius Jurkevičius (15min gastronomijos apžvalgininkas) pristatys keturis brandintus Pekorinus, Hubertas Hironas (Prancūzija) kvies paragauti Prancūzijos kalnų sūrių, Mirekas Sienkiewiczius (Lenkija) supažindins su 6 Europos šalių sūriais, o Ieva Martinkutė ir Tomas Josas pristatys čempionus – praeituose sūrių konkursuose laurus skynusius sūrius. Jubiliejinėje sūrininkų mugėje dalyvaus 20 gamintojų, atkeliavusių iš Lietuvos, Latvijos ir Lenkijos.

Lietuvos ūkiuose brandinami sūriai vis labiau skinasi kelią į mūsų kasdienę mitybą. Lietuvos sūrininkai kantriai plėtoja sūrių iš šviežio pieno tradicijas ir kokybiškų maisto produktų vartojimo kultūrą mūsų šalyje. Sūrininkai puoselėja tradiciją kartą per metus susitikti Druskininkuose, aptarti naujus receptus, svarbius sūrių kokybės reikalus drauge su visos Lietuvos gyventojais.

Veiks gamtos mokykla, tapybos bei muilo burbulų dirbtuvės vaikams, bus eksponuojami pasaulio kulinarijos olimpiados vicečempionės Vitos Brūzgienės drožinėti sūriai ir jeigu snigs – tai sūriais.

Sūrių Festivalis vyks rugpjūčio 11 d. 12-18 val. Druskininkuose, Vilniaus al. 24, Druskininkų Pramogų aikštėje.
